Frequently asked questions
Can I return the product?
Yes, within 14 days of receipt. The product must be unused and in original packaging.
Is the price including VAT?
No, all prices are excluding 21% VAT.
When does the portal subscription start?
When you activate the device in the portal by entering the serial number. Until then, you pay no subscription costs.
Which devices are supported?
All Modbus RTU and TCP devices. 400+ built-in templates for heat pumps, energy meters, HVAC, EV chargers, and more.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No, the gateway is plug-and-play. Configure it via your phone. Select your device from the template list and you're live.
What if my device isn't listed?
You can manually add registers. Contact us and we'll help you.
Can I test the gateway before ordering?
Yes, try the live demo at portal.modbuscloud.com first.
How does the 4G data work?
An IoT SIM card with 500 MB data is included, valid for 10 years. Sufficient for ~4 MB monthly data traffic. No additional subscription needed.
Is the gateway suitable for outdoor mounting?
The gateway is designed for indoor mounting, next to the installation. For outdoor use we recommend an IP65 enclosure.
