How it works
Connect
Connect your devices via RS485 (Modbus RTU) or over the network (Modbus TCP).
Scan
Start a scan in the portal. The gateway recognises what is connected on RS485 and on the network.
Monitor
The devices found appear in the portal with their live values.

Every gateway ships with the full library installed. If a meter or heat pump is added later, you link it yourself in the portal.
Device not in the library?
We build the template for free
Send us the register list or the manufacturer's manual. As soon as we have the register data, we build the template. It is usually in the manual.
Request a templateSet up the registers yourself
Enter the address, function code, data type, byte order and scale in the portal. You can always set up registers yourself, even for a device that is in the library.
Save your own template and use it on any gateway. Templates export from the portal as JSON and import the same way.

The gateway goes in or on your product, with that template installed. Your customer starts a scan and sees the values in the portal. Alerts go to your service team or your customer. Connect your own systems via the REST API. You pay the same price as everyone else.

Do I need Modbus knowledge?
Not for a device from the library, because the scan recognises it. If you set up registers yourself, basic knowledge of Modbus registers helps.
What if the scan does not find my device?
Check the Modbus address, the baud rate and the wiring. We can help with the setup at support@modbuscloud.com or +31 85 333 4015.
Does a new template cost anything?
No. We build it for free as soon as we have the register data.
Can I still change things after the scan?
Yes. Add or remove registers, change templates, link extra devices and save your own templates.
