Kostal is a German manufacturer of PV inverters and the Kostal Smart Energy Meter (KSEM), widely installed in residential and commercial rooftop PV with self-consumption optimisation. The 3 Kostal Modbus templates in our library cover the Kostal Inverter over Modbus RTU, the Kostal Modbus TCP interface including battery, and the Kostal Smart Energy Meter KSEM.
With ModbusCloud and these Kostal Modbus RTU/TCP templates you read solar yield, home consumption, active power, and battery state of charge. Daily, monthly and yearly yield totals are exposed alongside grid and PV consumption breakdowns. The KSEM template adds grid power, home consumption and inverter AC output, the core values for self-consumption monitoring and dynamic tariff optimisation.
