Installation

1Log in to the Kostal Smart Energy Meter dashboard using the password printed on the type plate on the side of the device.
2Enable the Modbus TCP slave function under the Modbus settings section of the KSEM dashboard.
3Connect the KSEM and the ModbusCloud gateway (MCG or MLP series) to the same local network.
4Configure the gateway with the IP address of the KSEM, port 502, and Modbus unit address 1.
5Import the Kostal Smart Energy Meter template in the ModbusCloud platform and assign it to the gateway.
6Verify that grid power, home consumption, and inverter AC output values appear on your ModbusCloud dashboard.
