Solarlog Modbus templates
All 4 available Solarlog templates for ModbusCloud.
Monitor Solarlog dataloggers and connected PV plants through one ModbusCloud portal.
Solarlog makes the SolarLog datalogger used on commercial and utility-scale PV plants to aggregate inverter, meter, and grid data into one export. If you run Solarlog on site, you already know the logger is the single point where inverter readings, grid meter values, and plant status come together, and that reading it over Modbus TCP is the cleanest way to pull that data into a monitoring platform.
ModbusCloud templates cover the SolarLog Data Reading profile for Modbus TCP alongside the Solarlog pv and grid roles. Over Modbus TCP you read plant-level PV generation, grid feed-in and grid import power, per-inverter yield where the logger exposes it, and the logger's own communication status. Alerts fire when feed-in drops against expected irradiance, when an inverter stops reporting to the logger, or when the Solarlog itself loses connectivity — before the owner spots a missed yield at month end.
All four Solarlog templates are free to browse. Import one into your ModbusCloud portal and read live data within minutes, no register hunting and no manufacturer PDFs.
What you can read out
- Plant-level PV generation
- Grid feed-in and import power
- Per-inverter yield via the logger
- Datalogger communication status
- Plant totals and cumulative energy
Typical installations
- Commercial PV plants with a SolarLog aggregating multiple string inverters
- Multi-site PV portfolios where installers monitor Solarlog feeds centrally
- Owner-operator fleets tracking yield and feed-in across Solarlog-equipped sites
