Wattsonic Modbus templates

Wattsonic builds hybrid PV inverters sold under the Wattsonic name and co-branded with Schmachtl as the Sun Energy Box in the DACH market. The Wattsonic and Wattsonic GEN3 lines handle PV generation, grid exchange, and battery storage from a single chassis, with separate register blocks for each side. Installers see these boxes in residential self-consumption setups, small-commercial rooftops, and retrofit projects where a battery is added alongside existing PV.

Modbuscloud ships seven Wattsonic templates over Modbus RTU, including the Schmachtl Sun Energy Box and the Wattsonic GEN3 hybrid inverter, split into PV, grid, and battery views. Each template maps the Wattsonic register layout so you can pull PV string power, total yield, grid voltage and frequency, grid import and export, and battery state of charge with charge and discharge power. Connect the MCG-1 gateway to the RS485 port and the template handles the register addresses for you.
