M-TEC Modbus templates
All 8 available M-TEC templates for ModbusCloud.
Monitor and control M-TEC heat pumps and Energy Butler inverters via Modbus RTU or TCP.
M-TEC builds heat pumps for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water, and the Energy Butler family of hybrid PV inverters — including the GEN2 and GEN3 variants with separate PV, grid, and battery register groups. The same installer often handles both on a single project: a heat pump in the utility room and an Energy Butler with a battery on the wall next to the distribution board. M-TEC hardware ends up across residential and small-commercial energy setups in German-speaking markets and beyond.
Modbuscloud ships eight M-TEC templates covering both the heat-pump controller and the Energy Butler inverter ranges over Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP. You can read supply and return temperatures, operating mode, and hot-water status on the heat pump, and battery state of charge, PV generation, grid import and export on the Energy Butler. The heat-pump template also exposes the control points that M-TEC publishes for heating, cooling, and hot water.
All eight M-TEC templates are free to browse. Import one into your portal and start reading live M-TEC data within minutes.
