A-Tronix wattsonic (grid)
A-Tronix
Overview
The A-Tronix wattsonic is a Gen3 hybrid solar inverter distributed under multiple brand names and used in residential and small-commercial PV installations. This template covers the grid meter role of the wattsonic, reading Modbus TCP registers for total grid power, per-phase active power on phases A, B, and C, and per-phase AC grid currents. All registers are read-only. With these seven registers visible in your ModbusCloud portal you can track real-time import and export at both whole-site and per-phase resolution, enabling accurate energy balance reporting and early detection of phase imbalances.
Use cases
- Monitor total grid import and export in real time to verify self-consumption targets are met.
- Track per-phase active power on phases A, B, and C to detect load imbalances across the installation.
- Alert on sustained grid import above a threshold during peak tariff hours to trigger demand response.
- Compare phase currents over time to identify asymmetric loads or a failing circuit branch.
