Monitor MHI Hydrolution heat pumps (EZY R290, R32) via Modbus RTU with the MODBUS40M accessory.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) sells air-to-water heat pumps for residential and light-commercial heating under the Hydrolution brand. The current EZY R290 line (6, 7.1, 10 and 14 kW with FDCM60/71VNX-P outdoor units) and the older Hydrolution R32 are both driven by the RC-HY40-W indoor controller. The RC-HY40-W is an OEM rebrand of the NIBE SMO 40 (F-series), so the full NIBE SMO 40 Modbus register map (1,332 parameters) applies byte-for-byte.
This ModbusCloud template integrates MHI Hydrolution units via Modbus RTU over the MODBUS40M accessory (NIBE part 067 144). Modbus TCP is NOT available on this controller — RTU via the accessory card only. Reads use FC03 Read Holding Registers; writes use FC16 Write Multiple Registers exclusively (FC06 does NOT work on MODBUS 40).
With the MHI template you can read BT1 outdoor temperature, supply/return, hot water, per-system room temperature, 3-phase currents, flow, compressor hours, defrost status, F2120 outdoor-unit telemetry, and the split heat meter for hot water and heating. Writes cover degree minutes, heating curve and offset, hot-water demand mode, alarm reset, SG Ready and Smart Price Adaption.
