Modbus TCP
Strong Energy Alfred 10 (grid)
Strong Energy
Overview
The Strong Energy Alfred 10 is a modular all-in-one hybrid inverter and battery storage system rated at 10 kW, designed for residential and light commercial PV installations. This Modbus TCP template targets the grid-connection meter function embedded in the Alfred 10, reading per-phase active power on phases A, B, and C, cumulative grid energy, and per-phase AC currents. All seven registers are read-only and polled via function code 3 over a standard TCP connection to the inverter. Use these values in the ModbusCloud portal to track grid import and export in real time across all three phases.
Use cases
- Monitor per-phase grid active power on phases A, B, and C to detect load imbalances across the three-phase supply.
- Track cumulative grid energy to verify monthly import and export totals against utility billing statements.
- Alert on unexpected phase-current spikes on currents_a, currents_b, or currents_c to identify wiring faults early.
- Compare power_a, power_b, and power_c simultaneously to spot persistent single-phase overloads in a residential installation.
- Report historical grid power trends per phase to support annual energy audits or building performance reviews.
