ProMinent DULCO-Pool SplashControl Pro

Installation

1. 1Enable Modbus RTU on the ProMinent DULCO-Pool SplashControl Pro and note the configured slave address.
2. 2Wire the RS-485 A and B lines from the SplashControl Pro to the RS-485 port on your ModbusCloud gateway (MCG or MLP series).
3. 3Set the gateway serial port to 19200 baud, odd parity, and 8 data bits to match the controller settings.
4. 4In the ModbusCloud portal, add a new device and import the ProMinent DULCO-Pool SplashControl Pro template from the library.
5. 5Enter the Modbus slave address you configured on the controller and verify that live readings appear on the dashboard.

Things to watch for

I see no data after connecting. What should I check first?

Verify that the baud rate is set to 19200 and parity is set to odd (1) on both the gateway and the SplashControl Pro. A mismatch in either setting will prevent communication.

Why do pH and temperature values look incorrect or extremely large?

pH and temperature are stored as float32 values across two consecutive registers. Make sure the byte order and word order in the gateway match the ProMinent controller. An incorrect word swap will produce nonsensical readings.

Can I change setpoints or alarm thresholds through this template?

No. All registers in this template are read-only. Setpoints and alarm thresholds are exposed for monitoring purposes only. Adjustments must be made directly on the SplashControl Pro controller.

Is it possible to connect multiple SplashControl Pro units on the same RS-485 bus?

Yes. Assign a unique Modbus slave address to each controller and add a separate device in ModbusCloud for each one, selecting the same template but entering the corresponding address.
