GoodWe EmergencyPowerMeter
GoodWe
Overview
The GoodWe EmergencyPowerMeter is a logical meter embedded in GoodWe ET-series hybrid inverters that measures the electrical conditions on the backup AC output, the circuit that keeps critical loads running when the grid is unavailable. Using Modbus TCP over the inverter's LAN module, this template reads per-phase voltage, current, frequency, and active power across all three phases (L1, L2, L3). Installers and facility managers can use the ModbusCloud Gateway to log and alert on backup-side power quality and load balance in real time, without any additional hardware.
Use cases
- Monitor per-phase active power on the backup output to verify that critical loads stay within the inverter's rated backup capacity.
- Track phase voltage and frequency on L1, L2, and L3 to detect power-quality deviations during grid outages.
- Compare current readings across all three phases to identify load imbalances on the emergency power circuit.
- Alert on unexpected active-power spikes on any backup phase to spot newly added loads that may overload the inverter.
