Plexlog
Overview
The Plexlog energy manager is a PV monitoring and energy management system that aggregates data from inverters, meters, and other devices at a site. This Modbus TCP template reads per-phase active power at the grid connection point: phase A (L1), phase B (L2), and phase C (L3), each as a signed 32-bit integer via function code 4. Connecting the Plexlog Open Gateway to ModbusCloud lets installers and asset managers track live grid power flow across all three phases in a single dashboard view.
Use cases
- Monitor per-phase active power at the grid connection point to detect phase imbalances in real time.
- Track live import and export values on L1, L2, and L3 to verify correct meter wiring after installation.
- Alert on sustained high import on a single phase to identify unbalanced load distribution at the site.
- Compare per-phase grid power trends over time to support capacity planning and tariff optimisation reviews.
