The ModbusCloud Gateway with the RS485 terminal and the antenna connectors

The Tepto Avocado Pro is a hybrid PV inverter that handles solar generation, battery storage and grid interaction in a single unit. Installers typically deploy Tepto systems in residential self-consumption setups where the homeowner wants to store surplus PV in a battery, cover evening load from that battery, and keep tabs on what still gets pushed to or pulled from the grid.

ModbusCloud ships three Tepto Avocado Pro templates — one for the PV side, one for the battery, and one for grid measurements — so each data stream maps cleanly in your portal with the right register addresses, scaling and data types already defined. Over Modbus you get PV generation, battery state of charge, charge and discharge power, and grid import and export. These are the numbers an installer actually needs to commission the system, verify a self-consumption claim, or diagnose why a battery isn't cycling as expected.

All three Tepto templates are free to browse in the library. Import them with a click into your ModbusCloud portal and start reading live data within minutes.
