Solax X3-MIC G2 (grid)
Solax
Overview
The Solax X3-MIC G2 is a three-phase, grid-connected PV string inverter for residential and light commercial solar installations. This template reads the inverter via Modbus TCP through the Solax PocketWiFi or PocketLAN dongle, exposing two key registers: instantaneous AC output power and cumulative energy yield. With these values in your ModbusCloud portal you can track live generation, build yield reports, and set production alerts without relying on a proprietary cloud account. Supported devices include the X3-MIC G2, X3-PRO G2, Q.VOLT P5T-X, and Q.VOLT P17T-X.
Use cases
- Monitor real-time AC output power to verify the inverter is producing at expected levels during peak sun hours.
- Track cumulative energy yield over weeks and months to confirm system performance against design estimates.
- Alert on a sudden drop to zero watts during daylight to detect tripped AC breakers or inverter faults quickly.
- Compare daily yield trends across multiple Solax X3-MIC G2 sites to identify underperforming installations.
