Acrel ADW300 (grid)
Acrel
Overview
The Acrel ADW300 is a DIN-rail three-phase energy meter for low-voltage distribution networks, widely deployed in commercial buildings, factories, and sub-metering installations. This template connects to the ADW300 via Modbus RTU over RS485 and reads per-phase voltages, per-phase currents, per-phase active power, total active power, and cumulative energy. The ModbusCloud Gateway polls these registers continuously, giving your portal a live grid-consumption picture with historical trending. Raw register values are secondary readings and must be scaled by the configured CT and PT ratios to obtain engineering units.
Use cases
- Monitor total three-phase active power in real time to track building grid consumption against contracted capacity.
- Compare per-phase active power on phases A, B, and C to detect load imbalance across distribution circuits.
- Track cumulative energy to verify monthly grid-import figures against utility invoices.
- Alert on unexpected power spikes to identify rogue loads or equipment faults before they escalate.
