Metz Connect is a German manufacturer of industrial connectivity components, including Modbus RTU I/O modules for HVAC, lighting and process control. The 3 Metz Connect Modbus RTU templates in our library cover the MR-AI8 (8 configurable analog inputs for resistance/voltage sensors), the MR-AO4 (4 analog outputs for vents, valves and actuators), and the MR-DI4 (4 digital inputs for limit and auxiliary contacts).
With ModbusCloud and these Metz Connect Modbus RTU templates you read analog measurements from passive or active temperature sensors, valve positions and similar devices on the MR-AI8; write analog outputs for valve and damper actuation on the MR-AO4; and read digital states such as limit-switch contacts on the MR-DI4. Each input type is configurable via writable configuration registers, and module address/bit rate/parity can be set via rotary switches or software.
