FoxESS MQ2200 (pv)
FoxESS
Overview
The FoxESS MQ2200 is a hybrid solar inverter sold under several brand names, including Avocado, Avocado Pro, and ONE. This template connects to the inverter over Modbus TCP and reads two PV-side registers: instantaneous total PV input power and cumulative PV energy generation. With these values in your ModbusCloud portal, you can track real-time solar production and long-term yield from a single device without polling the FoxESS cloud. The ModbusCloud Gateway connects to the inverter over your local network on TCP port 502.
Use cases
- Monitor real-time total PV input power to verify the array is producing during daylight hours.
- Track cumulative PV energy generation to calculate monthly and annual yield reports.
- Alert on a sudden drop in PV power to detect string or inverter faults quickly.
- Compare daily PV output against forecast irradiance data to spot underperforming periods.
