Installation

1Connect the ModbusCloud gateway (MCG or MLP series) to the YCJ-A002 via a shielded RS-485 cable, observing correct A/B polarity.
2Set DIP switch BM1 on the YCJ-A002 to positions 0 and 1 to enable Modbus RTU communication.
3Set DIP switch SW1 on the YCJ-A002 according to the address table on page 5 of the specification document to assign the correct Modbus slave address.
4Configure the ModbusCloud gateway serial port to 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity (9600 8N1).
5Import the Haier YCJ-A002 template in the ModbusCloud platform and assign it to the correct gateway and slave address.
6Verify communication by checking that indoor temperature readings appear on the ModbusCloud dashboard.
