Kampmann KaControl C1
Fan coil control that reports temperatures, fan speed and faults and takes mode, fan stage and setpoint.
KaControl C1 is the control of Kampmann fan coils and similar room units. With the Modbus card type 3260101 this Modbus RTU template reads the control and room temperatures, fan speed, faults and heating or cooling demand, and lets you switch the unit, the operating mode, the fan stage and the setpoint from ModbusCloud.

If a device is not in the library yet, we build the template for free as soon as we have the register data.
Use cases
- Show room and control temperatures and fan speed of several Kampmann fan coils on one ModbusCloud dashboard.
- Get an email when Device Fault is no longer 0, for example on a condensate alarm or frost protection.
- Follow heating and cooling demand in the 365-day history to see when the units call for heat or cooling.
- Switch units to eco or off outside office hours from the portal.
- Change the temperature setpoint or fan stage of a unit remotely.
Installation
On the KaController, open service level 2 and set P054 = 1 to switch on Modbus and P069 to the Modbus address.
Connect the Modbus card type 3260101 to the RS485 port of the ModbusCloud Gateway, with a 120 ohm resistor at the ends of the bus.
In ModbusCloud, add a Modbus device with the same address at 9600 baud, no parity, 2 stop bits, and import this template.
Check that Control Sensor Temperature shows the room temperature.
Things to watch for
The unit does not answer. What should I check?
Check that P054 is 1 and that P069 matches the address in ModbusCloud. The interface is fixed at 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity and 2 stop bits; set 2 stop bits in ModbusCloud as well.
Writing the operating mode has no effect. Why?
Operating mode can only be written when DIP switch 4 on the board is OFF. With DIP 4 ON, input DI2 switches between heating and cooling. Writing registers is off per Gateway until it is enabled on request.
Can the BMS send the room temperature?
Yes, through Room Temperature From BMS, in tenths of a degree. Set DIP switch 6 to OFF and put a room sensor or a 10 kOhm resistor between AI1 and GND, otherwise the unit reports a sensor fault.
Why does Device Fault show only one fault?
The unit reports only the fault with the highest priority, from 1 control sensor defective up to 8 EEPROM defective. When that fault is gone, the next one appears.
