Overview
The SofarSolar Inverter (pv) template connects ModbusCloud to SofarSolar grid-tied and hybrid inverters over Modbus RTU via an RS485 interface. It reads two core registers: active output power, giving you a real-time view of current PV generation, and cumulative energy, recording total kilowatt-hours produced since installation. Together these two values let installers and asset managers track generation performance, validate system health, and feed yield data into ModbusCloud dashboards without custom scripting. The template covers both standard Inverter and Hybrid Inverter variants.
