Ziehl
Overview
The Ziehl EFR4001IP is a three-phase energy flow relay and grid-point meter used in PV self-consumption and zero-export installations. It connects to your network via RJ45 and exposes all measurements over Modbus TCP. This ModbusCloud template reads per-phase voltage, current, active and reactive power, grid frequency, and cumulative import and export energy counters for all three phases. That data gives installers and asset managers continuous visibility of grid exchange and energy balance at the point of common coupling, without polling the device's built-in web server.
Use cases
- Monitor total active power import and export in real time to verify zero-export compliance at the grid connection point.
- Track cumulative active_production_energy and active_consumption_energy to calculate daily self-consumption ratios.
- Alert on per-phase voltage imbalance across voltage_l1, voltage_l2, and voltage_l3 to detect supply quality problems.
- Compare per-phase active power readings to identify single-phase load asymmetry in commercial or industrial sites.
