Why are my values 10x or 100x off compared to the inverter display?

That means the scale factor registers are not being applied. Confirm that the Datamanager is set to int+SF and that you imported the correct template (not the float variant). If values still look off, your firmware may have a known bug and an update is needed.

Should I use float or int+SF?

Float gives you ready-to-use values at the cost of needing exactly the right template. Int+SF is the SunSpec default and more portable, but requires applying scale factors. Both produce the same final numbers.
