All register values read zero or return an error. What is wrong?

Confirm the Modbus unit ID in the portal matches the address configured on the meter display. Also check that the RS485 A and B wires are not swapped and that bus termination is enabled at both ends of the cable run. A mismatched baud rate or parity setting on either side will also produce read failures.

Active power reads correctly but energy counters stay at zero.

The energy accumulation registers at addresses 24588 and 24600 are 32-bit float values that only increment after the meter has been powered and measuring for a full integration cycle. Ensure the meter has mains voltage on all measured phases. If the counters remain at zero after several minutes, verify that the CT secondary wires are connected to the correct terminals.

Per-phase current readings seem too high or too low compared to a clamp meter.

The KDK 2PUCT uses external CTs. The primary_current and secondary_current configuration registers must reflect the actual CT ratio of the installed transformers. If the ratio is set incorrectly in the meter menu, all current and power values will scale proportionally. Re-check and correct the CT ratio setting on the meter display.

Reactive power registers show unexpected unit labels in the portal.

The reactive power registers use the data type float32 but the input template carries the unit field as 'W' rather than 'var'. This is a labelling artefact in the template source. The physical quantity measured is volt-amperes reactive. Interpret the values accordingly when building dashboard panels or export reports.
