OX Point
Integrates OX Point smart parcel lockers with lock, LED, sensor, and temperature controls.
OX Point Home is a smart private parcel locker for homes and small companies. This Modbus template provides lock control, LED lighting, IR parcel detection, fridge temperature reading, and access code management for both the Standard and Cool variants.

If a device is not in the library yet, we build the template for free as soon as we have the register data.
Use cases
- Monitor parcel deliveries in real time by tracking IR gate sensor triggers on a cloud dashboard.
- Send an alert when a package or letter is detected in the locker so the recipient is notified immediately.
- Control lock open commands remotely to grant access to delivery drivers or family members.
- Track fridge compartment temperature and create alerts if it exceeds a safe threshold for perishable goods.
- Manage access codes remotely via the Wiegand code register without physical interaction with the locker.
- Adjust RGBW LED color and brightness to indicate locker status or match building aesthetics.
Installation
Connect the ModbusCloud gateway to the OX Point Home RS485 port using a twisted-pair cable, observing correct A and B terminal polarity.
Configure the serial parameters on the gateway to 19200 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity.
Set a unique Modbus slave address on the OX Point Home unit and note it for the template configuration.
Import the OX Point template from the ModbusCloud library and assign the correct slave address.
Verify connectivity by reading the lock sense registers and IR sensor values on the ModbusCloud dashboard.
If using the OX Home Standard Cool variant, confirm that fridge temperature and COOL ZAMEK registers return valid data.
Things to watch for
Why do the lock registers not return any data when I try to read them?
The ZAMEK lock registers at addresses 27 and 29 are write-only. To read the current lock state, poll the corresponding sense registers at addresses 28 and 30 instead.
What baud rate and serial settings should I use?
Configure your gateway for 19200 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity. These must match exactly or communication will fail.
Can I use the same register address for both reading and writing LED or output values?
Yes. The RGBW LED, color mix, brightness, OUT1, and OUT2 registers are readable and writable at the same address. The template handles this automatically.
Do I need the Cool variant to use the fridge temperature register?
The fridge temperature register is relevant only for the OX Home Standard Cool model. On the standard model this register will not return meaningful data.
