Paradigma SystaComfort II
Monitors and controls Paradigma heating systems via Modbus TCP
This template connects Paradigma SystaComfort II and SystaSmart C heating controllers to ModbusCloud via Modbus TCP. It reads all temperature sensors, solar yields, flow rates, and circuit statuses. It also allows control of sanitary heating, hot water circulation, and supply temperature setpoints.

If a device is not in the library yet, we build the template for free as soon as we have the register data.
Use cases
- Monitor outside temperature and all heating circuit supply and return temperatures on a live dashboard.
- Track daily solar yield and solar collector temperatures to verify solar thermal system performance.
- Create an alert when heating tank bottom temperature drops below a minimum threshold for too long.
- Remotely enable or disable sanitary heating and hot water circulation for seasonal adjustments.
- Adjust CV supply temperature setpoints per zone without an on-site visit.
- Log solar and sanitary flow rates over time to detect pump issues or reduced circulation.
Installation
Connect the Modbus TCP port of the Paradigma SystaComfort II or SystaSmart C controller to your local network using an Ethernet cable.
Verify that Modbus TCP is enabled on the Paradigma controller and note its IP address and port number.
Wire or connect your ModbusCloud Gateway to the same network as the Paradigma controller.
In the ModbusCloud platform, add a new device and import the Paradigma SystaComfort II template from the template library.
Configure the IP address and Modbus TCP port of the Paradigma controller in the gateway settings.
Confirm that register readings appear correctly on the dashboard, paying attention to function code assignments for overlapping register addresses.
Things to watch for
Why do some registers seem to return incorrect values or trigger unexpected behavior?
Registers at addresses 2 through 7 appear in both the read and write maps of the Paradigma controller. Ensure you are using the correct Modbus function codes (read vs. write) for each operation. Using a write function code on a read-only poll can cause unintended changes.
What Paradigma models are compatible with this template?
The template supports the SystaComfort II and the SystaSmart C controllers. Both expose the same Modbus TCP register set.
Is the Modbus documentation available in English?
Paradigma is a German manufacturer and the official Modbus register documentation is only available in German. The ModbusCloud template already maps all relevant registers, so you generally do not need to consult the original documentation.
Can I control individual heating zone pumps from the cloud?
Yes. The template can enable or disable heating per zone, which directly controls the pump for the corresponding circuit. Use the write registers for the relevant CV zone to toggle the pump on or off.
