Zehnder ComfoConnect Pro
Connects Zehnder ventilation units to smart home systems via Modbus RTU/TCP
The Zehnder ComfoConnect Pro is a gateway that bridges Zehnder ComfoNet ventilation devices (such as the ComfoAir Q) to Modbus TCP. Installation
Connect the Zehnder ComfoConnect Pro to the ComfoNet bus of your Zehnder ventilation unit (e.g., ComfoAir Q) and to the local network via LAN or WiFi.
Run the commissioning wizard on the ComfoConnect Pro, then reboot the gateway via its web interface to ensure Modbus registers return valid data.
Note the IP address assigned to the ComfoConnect Pro and confirm it is reachable from the ModbusCloud Gateway on the same network.
Connect and power the ModbusCloud gateway, then register it on the ModbusCloud platform using your installer account.
Import the Zehnder ComfoConnect Pro template from the ModbusCloud template library and assign it to the gateway, entering the correct IP address and Modbus TCP port.
Verify that live readings (temperatures, humidity, fan status) appear on the ModbusCloud dashboard and confirm control registers respond as expected.
Things to watch for
All Modbus registers return zero or no data after initial setup. What is wrong?
After completing the commissioning wizard, you must reboot the ComfoConnect Pro gateway via its web interface. Without this reboot, Modbus data will not be served correctly.
Which firmware version is required on the ComfoConnect Pro?
The template was created and tested with firmware v1.0.4. If you are running an older version, update the gateway firmware through the web interface before importing the template.
Can I use Modbus RTU instead of Modbus TCP?
The ComfoConnect Pro supports both Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP. This template is configured for Modbus TCP. If you need RTU, you will need to adjust the connection settings and wiring accordingly.
Which Zehnder ventilation units are compatible with this template?
The template supports devices connected via the ComfoConnect Pro, including the ComfoAir Q, ComfoAir Flex, ComfoSwitch C, ComfoSense C, and CO2 Sensor C.
