Schneider Acti9 Smartlink
Schneider
Overview
The Schneider Acti9 Smartlink is a DIN-rail energy metering and switchboard communication concentrator for low-voltage electrical distribution panels. It uses Modbus TCP to expose per-phase current and voltage, per-phase and total active power, reactive power, frequency, and cumulative production and consumption energy counters from connected PowerTag wireless energy sensors or wired metering devices. The Schneider Acti9 Smartlink template lets your ModbusCloud Gateway poll all 14 registers in one pass and stream readings to the cloud portal for real-time dashboards, historical trending, and threshold alerts, giving installers and facility managers a complete picture of panel load without opening the enclosure.
Use cases
- Monitor per-phase currents on L1, L2, and L3 to detect load imbalances across distribution circuits.
- Track cumulative active consumption energy over time to produce monthly tenant billing reports.
- Alert on total active power spikes to identify overloaded circuits before a breaker trips.
