Why do I see zero or incorrect values for flow and accumulated volume registers?

These registers are uint32 values spanning two consecutive Modbus addresses. Make sure the template is correctly mapping both addresses. Also verify the byte order setting on the gateway matches the Belimo default (big-endian).

What baud rate should I use for the Belimo 6-way EPIV?

The default baud rate for this template is 38400. Both the actuator and the ModbusCloud gateway serial port must be configured to 38400 with matching parity and stop bit settings.

Can I mix multiple Belimo EPIV actuators on one RS-485 bus?

Yes. Each actuator must have a unique Modbus slave address. Use the Belimo Assistant 2 app to set the address on each device before connecting them to the shared bus.

How does condensation protection work through Modbus?

The actuator monitors relative humidity and flow body temperature internally. The template reads the condensation protection status register and allows you to adjust protection settings. Set up an alert in ModbusCloud to be notified when condensation risk is detected.
