Overview
The Carlo Gavazzi EM110/111/112 and ET112 are single-phase DIN-rail energy meters used for active energy metering and load monitoring in residential and commercial electrical panels. This template connects to the EM110/111/112 or ET112 over Modbus RTU via RS485 and reads two core registers: instantaneous active power and the cumulative imported energy totalizer. Configured in charge (import) mode, the template captures consumption data only, making it well suited for EV charging sub-metering, PV self-consumption tracking, and tenant cost allocation in ModbusCloud.
Use cases
- Monitor real-time active power draw at an EV charging circuit to verify wallbox load compliance.
- Track cumulative imported energy over billing periods to allocate consumption costs per tenant or circuit.
- Alert on sustained high power readings to detect abnormal loads or wiring faults in the panel.
