Register 3043 always reads zero even when the inverter is exporting. Why?

Some Growatt TL-XH firmware builds return zero on register 3043 (reverse power) even during active export. This is a known firmware behavior. Confirm your firmware version matches the v1.24 or later Growatt Modbus RTU Protocol II document, and check whether a firmware update is available from Growatt support.

The Gateway connects but all three registers return zero or no data.

Verify the RS485 wiring polarity: Growatt does not always follow the industry-standard A/B labeling. If values are absent, swap the A and B wires on the Gateway terminal. Also confirm the unit ID in the portal matches the COM address set on the inverter display, and that the baud rate is 9600.

Power values look ten times too large or too small. What is wrong?

Registers 3041 and 3043 return raw uint32 values in 0.1-unit increments. If your integration applies an additional scale factor on top of the template, values will be off by a factor of ten. Use the template scaling as defined and do not add a second multiplier in any custom rule or dashboard formula.

Energy register 3069 rolls over or shows an implausible jump. What causes this?

Register 3069 is a cumulative uint32 counter. On inverter restart or firmware update, the counter may reset to zero or briefly show a stale value. Log the raw register value over time and filter rollover events in your dashboard alert rules to avoid false consumption spikes.
