Overview
The Sermatec SMT-5K-TL-LV is a 5 kW all-in-one hybrid inverter combining PV input, battery storage, grid connection, and local load management in a single unit. This Modbus RTU template reads three battery-side registers: the power multiplier coefficient (power_mul_a), the signed power offset (power_mul_b), and battery state of charge (soc). Together these allow the ModbusCloud portal to derive scaled battery power figures and track charge level. For installers managing residential or small-commercial solar-plus-storage systems, this template provides a direct, low-overhead path to battery data over the RS485 port.
