Installation

1. 1Connect the ModbusCloud gateway (MCG or MLP series) to the same network as the SOLARFOCUS ecoManager-touch controller via Ethernet.
2. 2Ensure Modbus TCP is enabled on the ecoManager-touch controller and note the IP address assigned to it.
3. 3Configure the gateway with the correct IP address and Modbus TCP port (typically 502) of the ecoManager-touch.
4. 4Import the SOLARFOCUS therminator II touch template from the ModbusCloud template library into your gateway configuration.
5. 5Verify that read registers starting at 2300 and the write register at 33406 return valid data by checking the live values in the ModbusCloud dashboard.
6. 6If external outside temperature writing is needed, confirm that the ecoManager-touch is configured to accept external temperature input.

What data format do the temperature registers use?

All temperature registers are int16 values expressed in degrees Celsius. No additional scaling factor is required.

The gateway connects but all register values show zero or errors. What should I check?

Verify that Modbus TCP is enabled on the ecoManager-touch controller. Confirm the correct IP address and that port 502 is not blocked by a firewall. Also check that the register addresses in the template match your firmware version.

Can I write values other than external outside temperature to the boiler?

This template only supports writing the external outside temperature at register 33406. Additional write capabilities depend on what the ecoManager-touch firmware exposes over Modbus TCP.
