Swatten Hybrid-EEG1
Controls hybrid inverter charging from grid for battery storage
Template for the Swatten Hybrid-EEG1 inverter system. It reads feed-in status and output power, and supports pairing two inverters by serial number so that inverter2 data is shared with inverter1 via Modbus TCP.

Use cases
- Monitor feed-in status and output power of paired Swatten Hybrid-EEG1 inverters on a live cloud dashboard.
- Verify that inverter2 data is correctly shared with inverter1 after commissioning a dual-inverter installation.
- Track grid charging behavior and battery storage cycles remotely for residential energy systems.
- Create alerts when output power drops unexpectedly or feed-in status changes outside expected hours.
- Generate daily or weekly reports on inverter output power for energy consultants and end customers.
Installation
Connect the ModbusCloud Gateway to the same local network as the Swatten Hybrid-EEG1 inverter and ensure Modbus TCP is enabled on the inverter.
Confirm the IP address and Modbus TCP port of the primary inverter (inverter1) and enter these in the gateway configuration.
Pair inverter1 and inverter2 by serial number within the inverter system so that inverter2 shares its feed-in status and output power data to inverter1.
Import the Swatten Hybrid-EEG1 template from the ModbusCloud template library and assign it to the configured gateway connection.
Verify that feed-in status and output power registers are returning valid data on the ModbusCloud dashboard before completing the installation.
Things to watch for
How do I pair inverter1 and inverter2 by serial number?
The pairing is done within the Swatten inverter system itself, typically through the inverter configuration interface or via the Solarman platform. Both units must be grouped by their serial numbers before the template can read shared data from inverter1.
I only see data from one inverter. What should I check?
Confirm that inverter2 is correctly matched to inverter1 by serial number. If the pairing is not established, inverter2 data such as feed-in status and output power will not appear on inverter1. Re-check the grouping in the inverter configuration.
What Modbus TCP port does the Swatten Hybrid-EEG1 use?
The default Modbus TCP port is typically 502, but this can vary depending on firmware version. Check the inverter network settings to confirm the correct port before configuring the gateway.
Can I use this template with other Swatten EEG models?
The template is listed as compatible with all Swatten EEG series models. However, register availability may differ between models. Verify that feed-in status and output power registers are supported on your specific unit.
