E+E Elektronik EE600 - Differential Pressure Sensor
Measures differential air pressure for HVAC and filter monitoring applications.
The E+E Elektronik EE600 is a differential pressure sensor for HVAC and filter monitoring applications. This Modbus RTU template reads differential air pressure in mbar. It is suitable for ventilation systems, air conditioning, and building automation.

Use cases
- Monitor differential air pressure across HVAC filters remotely to plan maintenance before airflow drops.
- Create an alert when differential pressure exceeds a threshold, indicating a clogged filter.
- Log pressure trends over time to identify gradual filter degradation in air handling units.
- Verify pressure differentials in cleanroom or controlled environment zones via a cloud dashboard.
- Compare differential pressure readings from multiple EE600 sensors across different building zones.
Installation
Connect the EE600 to the ModbusCloud Gateway using a shielded RS-485 cable with correct A/B wiring and proper bus termination.
Set the EE600 Modbus slave address using the device configuration interface, and note the address for template setup.
Confirm the EE600 is configured for 9600 baud, odd parity (matching the template default settings).
Import the E+E Elektronik EE600 template in the ModbusCloud platform and assign the correct Modbus slave address.
Verify that the differential pressure reading appears on the ModbusCloud dashboard and matches the expected value at the sensor.
Things to watch for
Why does the differential pressure reading show an incorrect or very large value?
The EE600 stores differential pressure at register 1212 in float32 format across two registers. Ensure your gateway is configured to read two registers and interpret them as a 32-bit float. Also check the byte order (big-endian vs. little-endian) matches the sensor output.
What baud rate and parity settings does the EE600 require?
The EE600 uses 9600 baud with odd parity (1 stop bit). Make sure the ModbusCloud gateway serial port matches these settings exactly, as a mismatch will cause communication failures.
Can I connect multiple EE600 sensors on the same RS-485 bus?
Yes, each EE600 must be assigned a unique Modbus slave address. Ensure proper bus termination at both ends of the RS-485 line and keep total cable length within RS-485 specifications.
The sensor does not respond on the Modbus bus at all. What should I check?
Verify the RS-485 A and B lines are not swapped. Confirm the correct slave address is configured on both the sensor and in the ModbusCloud template. Check that the bus is properly terminated and that power is supplied to the EE600.
