The portal licence

You choose the type of licence when you order in the webshop, under Portal. That choice applies to all gateways in the order. All amounts are excl. VAT.

Per year or one-time

The table shows how Per year and One-off differ.

The billing of 4G data is described in 4G data and costs.

All features in every licence

Every licence gives access to all portal features. There are no packages and you do not buy features separately. The REST API and webhooks are included as well, with no cost per request. How to use them is described in REST API and webhooks.

Renewal of the annual licence

You pay the first year when you order. A year later the licence renews automatically for another year, and then every year again. All annual licences from one order renew together.

ModbusCloud collects the renewal through the payment method of your order. If you paid with iDEAL or Bancontact, the renewal is collected as a SEPA direct debit from the same account.

At every renewal you receive one invoice by email. Where to find your orders and invoices is described in Ordering, account and invoices.

You can cancel towards the end of the current year. How to cancel and what applies when the price changes is described in Cancel your licence and have your account deleted.

One-time licence for a broken gateway

If a gateway breaks, a one-time licence moves to the new gateway. In the webshop, every gateway comes with a licence. Contact us through the support page before you order a new gateway, and give the serial number of the broken gateway.

If the defect may be covered by the warranty, first read Warranty and money-back guarantee. How to put the new gateway in the portal in place of the old one is described in Decommission or replace a gateway.

Price of the gateway

You pay for the gateway once, in addition to the licence. The price per gateway depends on the number of gateways in the order.
